Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas, USA
San Jacinto junction with 6th Street, Austin, Texas, USA
If you look closely, you can see bees sewing together this pair of frogs. And if you look even closer, you’ll be able to appreciate the details and designs they have made.
Américo Vespucio Norte between La Gioconda and Neveria, Las Condes, Santiago, Chile
Right next to a bus station, this street is filled with graffitis and colorful murals. You can get there easily and walk around. Enjoy!
The Republic of Užupis, Vilnius, Lithuania
As you enter Užupis, you’ll come across a sign welcoming you, and asking you to smile. And with art like this sprayed around the small independent republic, who wouldn’t?
Manhattan, New York, USA
So, this was my hotel room’s view when I stayed in the Row NYC, right next to Times Square. I could not find it on foot, but maybe someone has better eyesight than I do (which wouldn’t be surprising at all). If someone does, or if someone has any information about this, please do contact me and help me make this blog as accurate as possible.
Barri Gòtic, Barcelona, Spain
A small picture glued to a hidden wall. This feminine photo will catch your eye immediately… if you manage to find the alley first.
Jorge Matte Gormaz junction with La Brabanzon, Providencia, Santiago, Chile
I’ve been living a few blocks from these for over a decade, and only saw them recently. The butterflies don’t stand out very much, so they’re hard to spot (in my defense!) Even once you do, you need to get close to actually appreciate them. They cover about half the block’s pavement.
Freetown Christiania, Copenhagen, Denmark
Christiania is an autonomous community in Christianshavn, and it is filled with street art. Inside its walls you’ll find beautiful sculptures, gardens, colorful pavement, and unbelievable graffiti. It’s definitely a must-see.
Somewhere in Copenhagen you’ll find this mural with planets floating around -or maybe eyes? It really depends on what your own imagination tells you this looks like. But whatever that is, we can still agree you will find this place a beautiful work of art.
Kongens Nytorv, Copenhagen, Denmark
This mural around Kongens Nytorv is only there temporarily, since it’s painted on the construction site’s walls. The pictures above are from July, 2016.
